We are seeking Harvesters for permanent work at our busy indoor shelf farm based in Hornby. Meadow Mushrooms are the leading producer of mushrooms in NZ and are a thriving business with strong family values. We have a team of close to 500 people from within the Canterbury region. Our Harvesters are responsible for hand picking and sorting mushrooms into appropriate grades.
The Opportunity:
- Full training provided
- Permanent Harvester position
- 7am start time
- Wednesday - Sunday OR Friday - Tuesday
- Finish times vary as per daily production requirements - work is until daily duties are completed
- Base hourly rate + bonus - influence your take home pay!
- Hourly bonus payments for kg picked above set targets
The Role:
- Picking and sorting mushrooms into appropriate grades
- Fast and efficient hand work, with an eye for detail
- Working on your feet all day
- Complying with food safety requirements
- Working in a production environment
- Working at heights and operating a lorry/lift
You Will Have:
- A positive attitude to Health and Safety / Food Safety
- Ability to lift 15kgs
- Physically fit
- Ability work as part of a team
- Good communication skills. A reasonable level of English is required
- High motivation to meet individual, team and company targets around quality and pick rate
- The ability to be engaged in long term employment

Applicants for this role should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa, and currently be residing in New Zealand. This role would not suit someone looking for short term employment (due to the training involved).
